Clay Shooting Instruction & Lessons

The APSI trained instructors at Lady’s Wood pride themselves on the quality of their tuition.

Whether you are an experienced game shot looking to sharpen up for the season, a clay shooter looking for some expert advice on a particularly challenging target or a novice learning from scratch, our shooting lessons are always tailored to your needs.

Our qualified instructors are delighted to introduce new shooters to the sport and our coaching delivers a full and thorough understanding of all aspects of gun safety and shooting etiquette. We are also skilled in the tuition of Juniors and Ladies, creating a relaxed and safe atmosphere in which confidence grows.

Lady’s Wood encourages and welcomes the young shot and so children under the age of 16 shoot free of charge when sharing a session with an adult.

We offer instruction by the hour for beginners and experienced shots. Alternatively, you may wish to share a couple of hours with friends. Group bookings are also available for half day sessions and bacon rolls or cream teas are included or we can tailor a package to suit your needs.

We provide tailored tuition designed to match your individual ability and aspiration, helping you to develop your own style, whether your interest is in game or clays.

At the end of the session, if you have your own gun we will clean and oil it for you, while you relax and enjoy the facilities within our superb Lodge.

“My boys had a fantastic time at Lady’s Wood Shooting School and are really keen to continue with lessons here. Duncan, their instructor, had a fantastic manner and an engaging coaching style, which the boys immediately warmed too. The welcome was warm and genuine and I would certainly recommend Lady’s Wood without hesitation.” Jay Turner

“We had an amazing morning – Duncan was so patient and couldn’t have been more helpful. I would thoroughly recommend Lady’s Wood to anyone who is considering a shooting lesson, great value for money, professional staff and lovely surroundings.” Sally Wilson
