No. We advise people to wear comfortable outdoor clothing suitable for the unpredictable British weather! All our paths are gravelled so it is essential that suitable footwear is worn.

No. For your safety, you will always be accompanied by one of our qualified instructors.

Yes, as long as they adhere to our permitted cartridge list and requirements. Cartridges can also be purchased during your visit.

No. All lessons and practice sessions at Lady’s Wood are accompanied by an instructor. We also have a selection of school guns that can be used for those who don’t bring their own gun.

Spectators are more than welcome as long as they are wearing safety equipment which we provide.

No. All shooting at Lady’s Wood is operated by appointment only. However, it is always worth a call at the last minute to check availability.

There is no legal minimum age to start shooting. What’s more important is that you are strong enough to hold the gun and old enough to understand the importance of gun safety. We welcome junior and novice shots who are keen to give the sport a try and offer lessons at a discounted junior rate.

No – just yourself! We provide all necessary safety equipment so just ensure you arrive in suitable clothing and footwear. A selection of school guns and cartridges can be also be provided for those that don’t bring their own.

We provide complimentary teas and coffees, as well as a choice of delicious homemade cakes. Catering can be provided by prior request. We are also happy to recommend a selection of local pubs, cafes and restaurants.

No. It is forbidden to shoot game birds or any other live animal during your time at Lady’s Wood Shooting School.
