Role: Grounds Maintenance/ Shooting Caddy
Lady’s wood shooting school is one of the UK’s finest game and sporting shooting schools. Situated in 55 acres of beautiful countryside, close to the market town of Chipping Sodbury, overlooked by the Cotswold hills. We host 100’s of events each year at the shooting school and off site in the form of simulated game days and multi activity private gatherings. On site, we have a well stocked and popular gunroom, new air rifle range and first class clay and game shooting facilities.
Job Description We are looking to employ a full-time member of the team to assist with the day-to-day operation of the business. Tasks will be and not limited to, grounds and trap maintenance, filling traps, setting targets, caddying shooters, shooting instruction and office work when required.
Person Specification.
You will be a confident, presentable individual, with an eye for detail and a willingness to adapt and learn. A can do attitude and the ability to work well as a member of a close knit team is also very important. You will possess excellent time keeping skills and a passion for forging a career in the shooting industry.
Ideally you will have:
• A shotgun certificate and Shooting experience
• Experience with grounds maintenance tools such as mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters etc.
• Relevant certificates for the above (but not essential)
• Experience of maintaining and operating clay pigeon traps
• APSI or similar shooting instruction qualification
• Be 18 years of age or over
• A passion to learn and develop as an individual
• Experience with Microsoft packages – outlook, excel, word etc
• Be physically fit and able to work outdoors for prolonged periods of time
