Lady’s Wood Shooting School are thrilled to announce that they placed third in the 2019 Shooting Awards, winning bronze for best shooting school. Shortlisted by a panel of judges and experts from the industry and then voted for by the public, the awards recognise the finest guns, accessories and grounds in the British shooting industry.
Finalists for the awards – hosted by Shooting Times, Shooting Gazette, The Field, Sporting Gun and Shootinguk, in association with The Great British Shooting Show – were announced at the beginning of January, commencing a week of online public voting.
Lady’s Wood manager Chris Hanks says, “We are proud to receive this award and is recognition for the hard work and dedication from our first-class team. Not only have we been nominated by the industry amongst our peers, we have also won a huge number of public votes. I would like to thank our amazing team and of course our loyal customers for voting and supporting us.”
Finalists from across the country attended the award ceremony on the 15thFebruary where Lady’s Wood received their award, alongside silver winners Grimsthorpe shooting ground and Hownhall shooting school and E. J. Churchill receiving gold.
In the lead up to the awards, Shootinguk described Lady’s Wood as ‘one of the most picturesque schools in the whole of the UK… a welcoming destination with passionate staff and challenging targets to boot including a recently added 75-yard ‘Extreme Tower’’.
Located on the outskirts of Bristol, you can visit Lady’s Wood five days a week, Tuesday – Saturday, and choose from a range of clay shooting practice and instruction options. The school caters to both novice and experienced guns and also boasts excellent corporate and event facilities.
